As a teenager, Andrew directed, taught, and played for the youth choir at his church, Golden Gate Cathedral. At the Age of 12, Andrew begins to write and arrange songs and teach them to his youth choir. In 1996, God gave Andrew the name New Change. At this point, Andrew had joined the Craigmont High School Gospel Choir also known as the Voices of Harambee as the pianist. During the summer of 1996, Andrew had been assigned as the musical director of the Craigmont Gospel Choir. There he begins to coach and teach the members of the gospel choir everything that he has learned. He also taught them original songs during the course of being the musical director. In 1999, Andrew graduated from Craigmont, but he continued to be the musical director until 2001. In July 2001, Andrew announced that he was leaving the school's choir to pursue what God has given him in 1996. On July 20, 2001, New Change Ministries was birthed. God put into Andrew a vision of a new musical entity that would not only minister to hearts and minds of His people, but to their entire being. With this new vision, New Change Ministries, a ministry that is designed to proclaim Christ and to change generations, was born. Andrew wants New Change to be a ministry where people who are hurting can receive help and people who want to change can access their deliverance. Andrew does not label New Change as a community choir, but rather an outreach ministry. Noted for his talent of vocal arrangement, vocal coaching, composing, and songwriting, Andrew's gifts had only begun to be shown. Determined to be all that God wants him to be, Andrew has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City, and before the National Black Caucus in Washington, D.C. He also arranged a special performance of the Nation Anthem in the opening of the Harlem Globe Trotters game at the Memphis Pyramid. Music is not Andrew's only gift. He is also a board member and an actor for Lineage Productions, Inc. He has acted in multiple productions such as God's Trombone, Satan you're a Liar, and presently in If You Can Just See Me. Being an insightful young man, Andrew is also a co-owner of Universal Catering. With the word of God being in his heart, he was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ under the leadership of Dr. W. James Thomas, II in December 2005. Currently he is serving as the minister of music at Shiloh Church of Memphis. A true gift to the body and an anointed Man of God, Andrew has so much in store for him as he continues to do the work of the Lord. In the year of 2001, God birth out of Minister Andrew Knox this ministry. We are an outreach ministry striving to make a difference in ourselves, the churches, the communities, and the world. God has given Minister Andrew B. Knox, Sr. the word and vision of "Changing Generations through God' s Word". The mission of New Change Ministries is to proclaim the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to ALL GENERATIONS. We are DETERMINED to bring about a change in people s lives by leading them to Jesus Christ. This is also exemplified by living a life that is Holy and Pleasing to the Lord. We are on an assignment from God to reach the people and to aid in meeting their spiritual needs. New Change is a ministry of members that range from the ages of 18-36 years old. New Change has been blessed by God with a unique anointing and gifted with a rich sound-second to none. We are versatile in our music from traditional to contemporary to straight churching. We are not entertainers, but our energy level is impeccable and we do believe in glorifying and magnifying God's Name because "We Owe Him Praise". We are firm believers that Change is connected to your Praise. By simply surrendering to the will of God, Min. Knox & New Change has been afforded many opportunities in the later years of ministry. In a 2006 New Artist Showcase for Tyscot Records, New Change was praise for their original sound by Dr. Leonard Scott. In 2007, New Change opened up for gospel legend, Lashun Pace- Holmes and continued full steam ahead by sharing the stage with the late Rev. Timothy Wright, and by opening up for Stellar Award winning group, Kurt Carr & The Kurt Carr Singers. New Change was also honored in backing up James Hall, the founder of critically acclaimed Worship & Praise. In 2008, God has blessed New Change to travel extensively throughout the South, and to bless the Choirmaster himself, Ricky Dillard at his home church in Atlanta, Ga. Another opportunity arose with Tyscot Records, when New Change was selected as a contender for the New Artist Showcase for 2008. On August 23, 2008 the world was officially introduced to Andrew Knox & New Change through their 1st Live Recording. On May 26, 2009, Andrew Knox & New Change released their debut CD entitled "The New Change Experience". This project is blessing people everywhere. New Change was afforded the opportunity to minister at 3rd Annual The Bobby Jones Gospel New Orleans on March 27, 2010, which aired on the Word Network. In July 2010, New Change was awarded the Rhythm of Gospel Award for Best Traditional Song of the year, "Jesus Know". By putting our total trust in God, We believe that THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
